Soil Aeration

_

Soil aeration is a process which is used to enhance the quality of soil, making it perfect for the growth of grass and crops. By aerating the soil the rich combination of air, water, and nutrients can further penetrate the soil making it the perfect consistency and solution for plant and grass growth. The combination of the three helps to keep roots sturdy and strong, leading to healthier and faster growing products.

At Hampshire Paddock Management we offer soil aeration as one of our paddock management services. Using our range of professional tools we can aerate the paddock helping to encourage an improvement in the quality of your grass growth. With the overall appearance of your paddock improving overtime.

About our service

The Importance of Soil Aeration

_

Not only will soil aeration improve the growth of your grass and the overall quality of the pasture, but your livestock will benefit too. With a healthier paddock to graze on, the animals will benefit from an introduction to more nutrients in their diet. This overtime will lead to healthier and happier livestock.

About our service

The Best Time to Aerate Soil

_
Soil aeration should be carried out when the ground is not too hard. The best time to do this is when the ground has recently been dampened by a downpour. Perhaps several days after some rain. We would never suggest soil aeration when the ground is frozen or incredibly dry, so spring or autumn are usually the best seasons for this. It is important to bear in mind that different soil types will determine the frequency of soil aeration required. We therefore recommend getting in touch with our team directly to discuss your individual needs and circumstances. We can review the quality of your paddock and make suggestions based on our initial findings.
